Supporting the 2021 TSRA junior pistol team at Camp Perry this year was our own Roy Plumlee. The following is his report. The team consisted of four juniors who were allowed to shoot all three team matches with .22 pistols. The "Texas" juniors won their team match "class". The young shooters required almost no "coaching." The team consisted of two male and two female shooters. One of the male shooters is a regular at our bullseye matches. The team captain was a 16 yr. old girl who was already in college. The other girl's father was a shooter whose pistol sport was international rapid fire. She was a small girl who shot one of her father's pistols, It was an interesting experience. I have coached many adult teams both rifle and pistol. This one was the easiest and most interesting by far.
